Research Cess Fund

 Malaysia Thailand Joint Authority (MTJA) is a statutory body under the laws of Malaysia and Thailand  to assume all rights and responsibilities on behalf of the two Governments to explore and exploit the non-living natural resources, particularly petroleum, in the overlapping area known as the ‘Joint Development Area’ (JDA). Details of MTJA background can be found through our website http://www.mtja.org/

               MTJA Research Cess fund is contributed monthly from the cost and profit of gas/oil production from  the Operators that operate in the JDA. In accordance to the MTJA Regulations 2004, the fund is to be expended for the purpose of supporting any research and development in the fields of science and technology relating to exploration and exploitation of petroleum and natural resources. Attached to this email is an introduction to the Research Cess Fund. The guideline for proposal can be found in the attachment.
