Biocontrol product from Actinomycete for Root-knot Disease control.

Meloidogyne graminicola is the plant-parasitic nematode that causes root-knot disease in rice crops., The infection results in gall formations in the roots, stunted growth, and significant yield losses up to 70% in severely affected areas. rapidDue to the rapid reproduction of the nematodes, current control measures are largely ineffective. In response to this agricultural challenge, a researcher from Kasetsart University has developed a biopesticidebiocontrol product derived from nematicidal actinomycetes. This biocontrol agent inhibits the activity of Meloidogyne graminicola and helps prevent root knot disease. These nematicidal actinomycetes could be propagated rapidly. Moreover, this biocontrol product enhances root strength and ultimately supports rice plant growth. For more information, please contact: Assoc.
