Aromatic cardamom: Native Thai herb for cooking

Aromatic cardamom is a native Thai plant which can be found in Trat, Chanthaburi, and Rayong Provinces. Aromatic cardamom is different from other Bustard cardamom plants because of its aroma and taste. Various parts of this plant can be used for cooking and processing to be various products. Thus, Trat Agroforestry Research and Training Station has promoted this plant as a native Thai herb with a potential cultivation for commercial business, and also conserved this native plant to increase biodiversity in the areas by increasing the agroforestry of this plant.
