Development of a cassava harvester

Currently, harvesting cassava is still labor-intensive, using a lot of labor force in each process of the harvesting. Thus, National Agricultural Machinery Center, Research Administration and Academic Services, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Kasetsart University has developed a novel complete cassava harvester to help farmers to reduce cost, labor force, and time in the harvesting process. Using cassava harvester reduced the number of workers by using 2-3 workers only This prototype machine is using diesel engine with a hydraulic system The harvester has the ability to work at 1.2 rais per hour. However, the development of the cutting process between root and rhizome will make this harvester more complete in harvesting processes, convenient, fast, and reduced the cost of harvesting.
