In the case of
studying online or E-learning course programs, we have introduced the
concepts ofthe Mental Arithmetic which is a technical skill in mathematic
acquired intensively through finely structured syllabus prepared by Computer
Assisted Instructions for Abacus -Mental Arithmetic. The technical skill
helps children to strengthen and improve their mathematical competence
in calculating with speed, and of course accuracy. Besides improving a
child's calculating ability and his understanding of arithmetic, Abacus-Mental
Arithmetic will increase the memory power and the concentration of the
child. In addition, it encourages the child to give full attention to
study, trains him/her listen more attentively and effectively.
In Thailand, there are many schools have shown immense interest in Mental Arithmetic and they add this subject in a special course to improve their students for various competitions in mathematical programs.
In the development of this course, we use the Object Oriented Programming Method in designing and developing. We also use the JAVA programming languages known as JSP and Servlets, a JAVA technology, for our main implementations.
